Exclamation Carburetor Leaking out ontop the engine

My carburetor is leaking gas out on top of my engine. It appears to be coming from this piece that is square shaped. the throttle piece touches it somehow because when you press the gas one of the pieces move and then gas drips out.. I will upload a picture soon. Is this a simple gasket or ring I can replace?

If I understand your statement correctly, I had the exact same problem on my car earlier. It was the diaphragm pump, and it will cause the car to be very hard to start unless you add gas to the carb. It can be replaced without rebuilding the entire carb, and if the car runs fine once cranked I would recommend just replacing it and not building the whole carb.

It could be the lower seal, near where the float is. I had an old snowblower (bad example but anyways) that kept leaking gas because that seal was gone.

the accelerator pump diaphram is faulty and needs replaced. order a carb rebuild kit and do it the proper way.
