Car won't rev over 3000 RPM?

Hello all first post here! So I drive a 1983 RX-7 model S with the 12A carbuerated rotary. I just recently replaced all spark plug wires, spark plugs, and fuel filter. The car will run and startup fine and will rev freely in nuetral. The problem is that when I drive it it doesn't want to go over 3000 RPM. It's like it hits a wall and doesnt want to go over. The only gear that it will rev over 3000 RPM is first gear but all other gears will refuse to go over. Any and all help is appreciated

What happens if you just mash the throttle? Does it bog? If so, i'd say your accelerator pump is bad

If it doesn't, my next guess would be the vacuum secondaries aren't working properly

@evo koa Yes I did have this problem before I replaced the mentioned parts.
@Iduley If I just mash the throttle nothing happens at 3000 rpm, how do I check the vacuum secondaries?

Those carbs can be tricky to dial in.

double and triple check your ignition wires. make sure they're in the right positions.

i would agree with the secondaries being the issue, if you did anything on or around the carburetor linkage.
