12a brideport seized up at high revs
Hello I have a 12a brideport motor I use for racing. I have noticed it losing power at the last few meetings and at the the last meeting it stopped suddenly at high rpm
and does not turn over, ouch!! what is likely to have happened? Im guessing apexs seal has let go and jammed and may have caused damage to internals. I believe 12a rotary etc are hard to come by, I have not pull apart yet. just looking for info on options may go 13b does that fit my gearbox cheers Bob

no one could realistically answer the question, you will need to tear it apart to find out.
typical bridge issues are due to inexperienced builders putting the apex boot with a bridge that sits beyond the rotor housing to iron walls. mostly the primaries are bridged smaller and the boot sits against the center iron. ie, the apex seals are respectively placed in the engine versus street and stock ported engines which can be oriented in either direction.
