Hey thanks.
Yeah, I forgot about Kevin at Rotary Resurrection. I've done quite a few messages back and forth with him. Straight shooter and knows his stuff. However he let me know that 12a's are what he works on the least. I'm thinking that you could find some info/(person's to ask) in the OGTA thread about porting yourself. Here's the link: https://www.rx7club.com/se-rx-7-foru...eeting-675955/

got another starter for it, thinking the solenoid on the old one was bad. a friend is parting out one of his sister's rx7s and i got it off of him. going to try and put it on this weekend if its nice outside and i get all of my school work done.
also my car will be sent off for paint after winter break from school. so after tax time i hope to have it looking and running good. then i just have to go through the car and fix all the small electrical issues.

As for porting it myself??? Im undecided. i want this done as cheaply as possible but i don't want to mess the timing up either. ill do more research.
i went to rotary resurrections website and looked around. i might email him and see what he can do. The website said he normally doesn't do 12a work and normally suggests 13b hybrid set ups? idk what Im going to do as far as that goes yet.

have a go at porting it yourself.
i built up a 13b bridgeport.
i may have been lucky but i found it to be the easiest part of the engine build.
do a bit of reading, a lot of eyeballing the rotor as it spins over the intake port (on your pulled down engine) and you'll be able to work out the 'timing'.
and don't forget to open up those exhaust ports. think about all them gases that have to escape after they've expanded!
i used an ordinary drill and a little hand held dremel. churned through a $100 worth of drill bits, too.
but believe me, one of the funnest parts.
also, while you're at it with your dremel, port match everything, carby to intake manifold, intake ports to manifold, exhaust ports to headers, the lot. i've heard it can make a difference. if not, when you're driving it you can picture the whole system working super efficiently, with no blocks.

well im going to send the car for paint soon. just curious on seat options, id like to put some fixed back race bucket seats in it. what kind have you guys used. im leaning towards NRG since theyre fairly cheap, my buddy has some for his mk3 supra and they seem to be good quality. i also want to throw some coilovers on it at somepoint and do autocrosses and track days....havnt been on here in a while so i figured id see what yall think.
