I have a rx8 and I need to change out of an ecu aem ford that I need to put in the rx8 but when I do change it the electric power steering is taken out. Can someone tell me how to put the ecu in and keep the electric power steering?

 

Welcome. This is the RX-7 club, but I'll do what I can to help. You'll have to be clear in your responses. Which ecu did you replace? The power steering ecu or the main ecu with N3H6 on it? The steering angle sensor may need to be calibrated as it has likely lost its zero point. You have have to take the car to a dealer to reinitialize the power steering system and perform a zero point calibration.

Hi, if you have Facebook contact Yury Baranov https://www.facebook.com/baryury he can provide an electronics board to wire in for any dash/EPS system following an engine swap, and definitely provides an RX8 Canbus dash adapter as I bought one from him after swapping my RX8 engine/ ECU to an FD REW motor and Haltech ECU. The EPS works fine.
