Can I do it?
Hello, new to this tight not family. So I have a 1993 Mazda rx7 FD3S. It's a jdm model RHD and I was wondering if I could use just a normal Harness bar for my racing harness and seats? I've heard no because it's only for left hand drive but idk why it would really matter it's just bolting in the side mounts where the stock seatbelt is and then to the floor. Do know I have rear seats. Or could I do a street roll bar?

But be aware though, if are using the harness bar that has the 2 supporting arms that attach to it and then to the lower factory seatbelt bolt holes your going to need to do some custom drilling. The factory seatbelts in the Rex do not bolt next to the seats near the floor like most cars.....so you don't have these holes to attach the harness bar supporting bars. You will need to make your own, it's quite awkward, but can be done.
in the end I just sold my harness bar and attached the end of the harnesses to the seatbelt holes for the rear seats. One is below the rear speaker grill and the other, you unzip the seat cover in the middle where thr seat belt clip is anchored, remove it abs attach your harness there
each to their own really, I don't track my car seriously so I don't need to meet any regulations as to how to mount them
