Can anyone identify these two parts?

Pic 1: located on harness in hatch near ABS Computer. It is black, 6 prong female connector. What's it go to? I think I found a clue somewhere, it said on an electrical diagram in a FSM that there is a "acoustic wave guide assembly, black" on page 89 of
http://www.rotaryheads.com/PDF/3rd_g...ng_Diagram.pdf

If that is what it is, then I guess all rx7's have the harness there, but not all 7's have the Bose Acoustic Wave of course.
What is it???

Pic 2: located on main engine harness at PCM on passenger kick panel area. 1 wire, little black female connector. Wire is black with yellow trace. What is it and where does it plug in?

It would be helpful if you posted the year make and model of the vehicle pictured, a wider picture so we can see where you are at would be helpful as well

93 rx7.
First picture next to ABS computer and near fuel pump access panel which is in driver side rear hatch area.
Second picture is right with all the PCM wiring and connectors in passenger kick panel area.

Re:# 1... I have a 93 R1 so never had a Bose system and can't remember if I have that connector. Not all cars had Bose. Touring, and in later model years...PEP or Preferred Equipment Package. The Base and R models had standard stereos which seem to be preferred these days.

Re # 2... That is a ground wire used for diagnostic purposes on the stock ECU. It was also utilized in the old days for what was commonly referred to as the "fan mod". If connected to ground the fans will run on low speed for 10 minutes after shut down. Used to hopefully lower underhood temps and help with heat soak but it was never really effective.

Thank you so much. That second harness was a relief to hear about because I went crazy trying to find it's "home". Also, as for the trunk connector...I think my 7 had the Bose system from factory as my head unit says Bose.

I am fairly certain that the connector near the fuel pump is for the Bose system. My 93 touring has the same connector and I have the Bose system (although currently not in the car). I can verify next time I go out to work on my car, but I am about 99% sure that's what it is.

Yes you are right. I have verified it is indeed Bose connector. Thank you!
