Buying a RX7 soon

I just sold my 07 350z and I'm looking into purchasing a RX7. I found this one, it looks real nice, but the owner not knowing how many miles are on the motor has me cautious. Heres the description:

162,xxx with unknown mileage on the engine(probably very low)

Interior: Black-- 9/10
-R1 seats in awesome condition. No rips, tears or anything--9.5/10
-Carpet and all trim in great shape. The ECU cover piece is cracked but you can't tell when its installed.
-Custom/brand new non bose rear carpet and front floor mats by RX7 forum member "JasonS". Floor mats have "RX7" logo.
-Rear Divider in good shape--8/10
-Non bose cargo cover in great shape--9/10
-Suede shifter and e-brake boots to match seats-- 10/10
-Door panels in great shape, no broken handles--8/10
-Mint S5 FC shift **** for nostalgic reasons
-Center speaker replaced with dual guage pod, (1) 60mm, (1) 52mm
-Interior is 100% complete and smells like new. Nothing broken or missing that I know of.

Exterior: 9.5/10
-Spoilerless
-New Paint in '08. Suzuki Paint code "ZEL"(Rootbeer Metallic). Paint is in overall great shape with a few minor blemishes that are my fault
-R1 Front Lip
-Feed Replica Sides
-Converted '99 Tails. Done by "7lust" on RX7club. Very high quality work. Polished and awesome.--- 10/10
-Tinted windows.
-Desirable/kinda rare glass sunroof
-Rear stock mud guards
-Brand New undertray

Goodies:
-Stock Port 13brew, compression numbers to come if needed. Runs like a dream. Pulls mad vacuum at idle.
-Power FC with the NEW Commander
-ATR DP, Pettit Resonated MP, PFS catback. This combo sounds awesome.
-Stock twins in seq mode with ported WG.
-Efini Y pipe
-Fighters Intake
-Pettit SMIC with proper ducting
-Profec B spec 2, set to 11psi
-Simplified Seq mod done
-Fuel Pump rewired
-Fighters AST
-ACT Xtreme PP, with street disc, less than 6k on it
-Greddy Elbow(not installed but I throw it in)
-Emissions gone
-Greddy 60 mm boost, 52 mm water temp
-Koni Yellows with Eibach Pro kit
-R1 Front strut bar
-Drilled Rotors
-Gunmetal Final Speed Erasers, 17x8 + 38, 17x9 + 35 Near new Yoko 235's and 255's respectively
-Tranny and Diff running Redline
-Also have the entire rear suspension(minus diff) off a '99 with 30k miles I will throw in.
-Just had the AC fixed, blows cold unless its 115 degrees and you are at a stoplight for 3 minutes

I'm probably forgetting a lot but that is the basic car.

I'm asking 13k and if I can't get near that then I might have to part it down to a full roller.
I'd really hate to do that but I've got way too much into it to take that huge a hit.

Get compression numbers backed up by a shop.
Find out wtf "mad vacuum" means...
No emissions will make it a challenge if your area requires emissions.

thanks for the reply. I'm not worried about the emissions, as there isn't emissions checks here in alabama. I'm most definantly getting a qualified mechanic to check the ins and outs of the car. But i do have one question, will the car be alright for a 10-11 hour drive back home?

Get the compression numbers and go from there. There is no point buying a car for somewhat of a deal and having the engine blow up on you .

I would just spend the extra $2500 and took a look at allrotor93's 1994 R2 model. He has a pretty good reputation on here and the R2 is a highly sought after model.

I'm not to sure how far you are from raleigh but I think it's definitely worth the look.

This car is also listed on CL, in the panhandle.

Here's one > Pensacola CL
And another > Pensacola CL II

I must say, minus the bizarre color (which would look like a world of god-Awful if it weren't metallic), this thing is pretty bad-***.

Seen the car, at a couple of meets, and it sounds awesome. Travis has taken pretty damned good care of the car and alot of time/ money/ sweat/ swearing into it.

I think what he means by, 'mad vacuum' is that everything is seated and he doesn't have ANY vac leaks, making the reading WAY low on the gauge.

Good luck to you, man! Hope you get it!

For 2k more you get this one

I'm just sayin'

Personally I'd buy it and drive it till the motor's done, then either rebuilt or swap to something else. Decent price for all the part's into the car. I'd probably offer 12k just b/c of the WTF on that color...
