buying glassfiber packed muffler?
buying glassfiber packed muffler?
Hi.
Im in a need of a new exhaust, and got all the pipes needed to make one mylsefe, but missing mufflers.
And i cant find any ceramicwool stuffed or steelwool in the local stores. So im thinking of buying som cheap glassfiber mufflers, cut them open, and replace the glasswool with steel or ceramaic wool.
So if this a good idea? What shall i stuff in them, steel or ceramicwool? Where can i find steel or ceramic wool? And can i use glassfiber in the rear mufflers?

That might work but will probably eventually burn out and require replacement. I don't think glassfiber will work for very long according to sources that have tried.
Why not just get a good Borla or Magnaflow muffler and save yourself time and energy and probably money long term?
