Question burning coolant?

I just finished replacing my water pump, my o-rings under my oil cooler tower, and just re-sealed the gas tank. I am new to RX7's and rotary engines all together, but I am still getting steam or smoke from coolant when the engikne warms up and is driven. I'm hoping its not a rebuild situation, but the smoke emits from around the area where the thermal reactor/exhaust manifold is. Oh yeah it's a 1985 GS (12a). Any ideas, questions, or hopefully known facts or answers would be appreciated. Pictures coming up soon! Thanks in advance.

Have you done a coolant system pressure test to find any leaks? Are the hoses and clamps original?
