Exclamation Brakes failed need help

I was at an intersection a few days ago when made a left turn kinda fast and got a little sideways anyway afterwords something felt funny but i couldnt figure it out. Untill 2 stop lights later I start to brake and my car pulls so hard to the right i almost changed lanes it felt like i was only braking with my right front barkes(which i probably was) 2 lights later my brakes went hard and refused to slow me down at all i pulled over turned my car off and tried poking around under the hood (it was 110 out so i didnt touch nothing) i got the car home and havent been able to look at it cause of work i was just hoping you guys could direct me in the right direction to start looking for problems
Thank!

if the pedal was hard, sounds like a brake booster problem. Weird about only the right side brakes only working.

does the car have abs? if so, you might have pissed off the beast. pull the fuse for the abs and see if that changes things. I am no abs wizard, and I typically stay away from it. to many stories from seminars about people getting hurt while working on abs units.

I would check the power brake unit, the proportioning bypass valve and the master cylinder. I would also check to see that one of your calipers is not seized. If something felt funny after the sideways turn while you were not braking, it may be something to do with your suspension and alignment, but that doesn't explain the hard, ineffective brakes.
I hope this helps, and good luck with fixing er up.
