Brakes, Best places to buy?

Where's the best place to buy good brake pads for my 85 RX7? i dont have drum in the rear.
I would prefer ceramic or more of a race style pad, i do not like hawk pads.

also, where can i get rotors for a reasonable price? prefable vented or cross drilled. thanks,

http://www.mazdatrix.com/ has TONS of stuff for our Rx7s.... I can't vouch that they will be the cheapest but they will certainly be the easiest to find stuff.

corksport.com has quite a few good brake upgrades and they are also quite reasonable. the sam pads you can get on mazdatrix are about 10 dollars cheaper on corksport if i remember correctly. i need rear brakes and am currenly saving for their stoptech vente and crossdrilled rotors with either ebc greenstuff or hawk hps brake pads... whats ur issue with hawk pads? ive never used them before and dont wanna have to switch my pads out twice cuz that wud be a waste of money and timeand i really have neither. lol.

check with your local napa. i know the napa in my town recently started carrying a nice assortment of ceramic pads. ceramics for the SA and FB are scarce.

problem with hawks is you cant modulate them well enough when racing, so i usually stick with carbotechs. you should check those out if you're looking for pads? they're just pricey. Heard the porterfields are really good too. but i've only used hawk and carbotech.
not sure what i'll do, might just go with the hawks, but if i'm going to pay so much for good street/race pads i'd rather go with the porterfields. Saving up with just take time!

ic... well im using them on my street car i justwant an upgrade from the stocks with less dust and a bit better stopping power. and actually the reason i am having to save up is cuz i dont want my rear brake performance to outdo the fronts so im trying to get enuf cash i can just do it all at once. lol. from the prices on corksports site that will be about a 700 dollar or so venture... providing i remember the prices correctly.

Last year, I bought new rotors for all four corners (GSL rear end). I went through www.rockauto.com and bought just about the cheapest rotors they had (cheapest was like $14.00, I spent something like $17.00 per rotor).

I combined those with Hawk pads from www.re-speed.com

I've driven and raced on that setup for two years now, and braking has never been better. I haven't had any trouble modulating the brakes with the Hawk pads, any chance you might have a sticky caliper or something? Then again, I think (if I remember right) that I am running a bit more rubber than you, so that might be the difference.

Good luck.
