After how many miles should the front and rear calipers be rebuilt?

People usually rebuild them when they are begin to exhibit symptoms of poor performance. Not really mileage related. Given the age, it can't hurt to freshen them up. There are a couple of good threads w/ pics in the Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tires forum if you wish to search for them.
