Bouncy Idle
So, I'm not really that new of a member, but for some reason, It's not letting me post under 1st Gen Tech, so I'm posting here. =)
So this little '85 GSL-SE. 13B, N/A, fuel injected, but has a distributor cap on it instead of coil packs I guess. Anyway, sometimes the rpm's bounce up about 400-500 from idle at around 750-800. Sometimes it'll even bounce to 1500. now here's the thing. When I push the clutch in, the rpm's shoot up to around 2500 and stay there until I let off the clutch again and they drop back down to a bouncy idle. PLEASE tell me someone knows how to fix this as it is EXTREMELY annoying and makes me feel like I'm driving a POS. My first thought was that it obviously has something to do with the clutch, but then my buddy said it could be electrical, but who knows how smart he is. His fc has been sitting for the past 2 years. Anyway, so I'm stuck, clueless as ever. Any ideas?

Throttle Position Sensor.
3rd Gen. guy myself, but guessing there's a copy of the Factory Service Manual (FSM) in the 1st Gen. Section Sticky somewhere. And that should give you instructions on how to check the TPS.
