Bose CD Problems
I drove my car for five years and never had a problem with the radio or cd player. Twelve years later putting the car back on the road. I had to change the front loom and two of the wiring harnesses behind the dash for I changed to manual from automatic. Everything works great except my cd player blinks out for two or three seconds and then comes back where it left off. Some CDs are a lot worse than others. Also the lights that luminate the station and cd codes went out. The rest of all the lights luminate and you can in daylight see the led readings, but in a little shade you can't see what is going on. I think I am looking for a stock cd player and cassette tuner for a Bose touring model 93FD.

bad connection somewhere...(ya,you new that already!..lol!).
At least yo know that the Supply source is the problem and not the Battery source. If it was battery source it would lose memory and then go back to the start every time it "screwed up".
If the Stock system is not exactly appealing to you any longer, they have some real nice Double Din fit players in the Audio section, some guys have pics of them installed..nice job too.

I am not feeling it is a power connection because some CDs don't skip while others skip every ten twenty seconds. I am really hoping to just pick up a nice low mileage Bose CD player and radio, cassette and start over. It's very difficult to remove these, I have had my whole dash out of the car. They don't give you enough room to remove them.

Good luck to you.
The problem with the CD Player blanking out for two or three seconds and then coming back on is a protection device that turns the cd player off when you hit bumps in the road. I purchased one out of a total for parts to try and fix mine but what I think I really want to do is just replace it with a nice clean low mileage stock turning Bose cd player. I know they sell them at the dealership and I see them go through ebay every two or three months and have been too reserved or pickey.
