VA Boost Gauge

Looking to add a boost gauge and thinking about the Pettit Column Mount Boost Gauge since I like the position. However, I think I read somewhere that the Autometer gauges were not that great.

Anyone having knowledge or suggestions, I would like to hear from you

I've always used autometer and had no problems.

I just installed the Pettit steering column kit. Works fine. I did not want to punch a hole through the firewall, so I routed the boost line through the pre-existing hole that runs from just to the left of the clutch (hole is covered by sound insulation) through the 2&1/2" rubber plug (used wad punch to make hole in plug, but drill will do fine) in the chassis accessible by removing the last half of the wheel well fasteners, then up through the pre existing holes for the body wiring. This took maybe a half an hour longer to do than drilling a hole in the fire wall or punching a hole in the steering column boot. Neither of those ideas seems professional to me.
