Blowing cold air and ac works but no hot air

Okay so we're to start . I purchased my Mazda rx 7 a couple months ago I had to do a few things to it not much or anything big . As the car sat for 8 years in my friends garage . I brought it home and wouldn't start I changed spark a plugs air filter and drained old gas and put new in the car I checked the fuel pump before I started it to make sure it wasn't seized up . It runs great now that I have it running . It's and amazing car .. I have driven it a few time and didn't realize that the hot air wasn't working because of the hot weather I was using the ac . Not its cooling off and I went to use the heater and no hot air the blowers working and so is the thermostat. I read maybe flush the heater core . What if it's not the heater core what's next . I replaced the heater core first because it's cheap lol . If anyone can help I would be great fu I'm new to rotary engine and to madras all together

Failure of the air mix motor and/or logicon is very common. You can search for "resolder logicon" for instructions on how to attempt a repair. Testing the air mix motor is more involved.

If there is no heat at all on the heater core, the coolant valve may have malfunctioned.
