block-off plates

As I'm getting my way down to the waste gate to port that due to some boost creep. Ive already blocked off the hole on the UIM from the secondary throttle valves.

I'm curious at the two pictures below. Id like to get rid of these guys as they aren't there doing any purpose that I know of.

Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks
Kristall

both of these lines i believe used to be apart of the stock intake system. both lines were open tho putting my hand over one of the holes seemed to quite down the engine idle

Cover plates, ACV....

Hey dude

That big hunk of junk on the inside rear of the LIM is the ACV (Air Control Valve). Remove and fab/buy cover plate. All the pcs. related to that can go. Sounds like your gettin into the fun stuff. It is a great way to learn about your car bro. Theres all kinda stuff around there to get rid of. Do you still have the air pump on?
Thats gotta go, many others too.

If you wanta get serious, pm me.

Can't remember...are you still on the stock ECU?
Buying a decent hi-flow cat would have been an easier solution for creep, but if you were going in there anyway I guess this makes sense.
And what's that zip-tied to the firewall?

OK.
If your on the stock ECU be careful of removing emissions. Most will throw a CEL code. You can fool the stock ECU with some resistors, but if your contemplating going to a standalone soon, now might be the time. Ideally you would want to do something with the unneeded connectors.
You'll need a set of block-off plates. I was happy with the ones I got from here: http://banzai-racing.com/store/FD_block_off_plates.html
For comparision and maybe a little motivation here's what it can look like with emissions... and about half the solenoids and vac lines removed (some solenoids were re-located):

Good luck.

Not sure how to reset to the base map. I'm old, not real tech-friendly and never had a need to do it. But IIRC it's in the ETC screen on the Commander.
There is a PFC section and if this is your first PFC it's got a pretty nice FAQ in the stickys. Or maybe do a search in that section under "Reset" in Titles only.
