Question Better upgrade then BNR's?

https://www.freedengineering.com/shop/efr-6758-2/

T25 w.85 a/r internal wastegate.^link^ either Aluminum or Cast Iron. Have been researching trying to find a better version of the BNR stage 3's. Not quite sure if these turbos I found are 4 bolt, or whatever, if they would fit. Really wondering if I can find some turbos identical to these just not so damn expensive! I want to stay sequential. Id like to be around 400 I just figured if Im going to upgrade the stock twins why not do some research. Any clue if these would work? better suggestions? less expensive manufacturers?

Also Ive been scrounging the cyber world for a high flow sequential exhaust manifold? Any fabricators on here willing to hack it up use the existing valves or whatever?
This Forum is awesome. Im off to read everything. eye drops gooo

Question

Efini makes a SP twin turbo kit? 43.2mm inlet diameter with 12% more air volume.... was wondering how they compare to the BNR stage 3's or the turbos? Anyone know the inlet diameter on the BNR T25's? I listed above which im sure they are the best.

sorry for my general ignorance

From what i have read, researching the same issue, is that the limiting factor is not the turbos, but the manifoilds. So in order to go past 410hp, you need to modify your manifold.
And having done that, even the BNR will get you way past that.

Thanks for the input. Anyone know anyone modifying manifolds? A high Flo seq manifold would sell like crazy for us. Bet supra has a aftermarket one...

i doubt an aftermarket manifold would sell that well, not considering the work involved to make it which would drive the cost up to several thousand dollars.

problem is that the twins are old and tired, and few people bother with upgraded twins over a bigger single turbo. simplification, less heat and barely a noticable spool difference with how turbos are now.

doesn't mean stupid things haven't been made before, or snapped up by people with more money than common sense. dollar for dollar, it's not a good path to take, unless you like taking the more difficult path in life. rotary cars are painful enough, i try to keep that to a minimum by not complicating my relationship with them.

BNRs have been available since about 2001, and in the last 15 years Bryan has refined them to the point that you're getting two brand new T28 CHRAs that spool very quickly sequentially, bolt right up to the oem intake/exhaust setup, and will make your 400 rwhp goal easily on pump gas boost levels---- if you set the car up properly.

I ran different versions of BNRs for many years and my brother recently set the overall FD sequential record with an engine I ported and built and a car I helped setup.

If you end up finding a 'better upgrade' for your goals to the BNRs, please let us know

The more I think about it them more I just need to go single turbo. I mean I want to be able to be controllable rocket ship on the turns and a Chorvett eatter.

Bryan who? I'm sure there's a place to talk about his prices and upgrade. I'm stuck in New member section.

Its just about what you want:

- Period correct car with the brilliant (for its time) twins
- Maximum horsepower for least amount of **** (but more $)

The first one, BNR will sort out out. If you are borderline insane, a custom investment cast manifold of your own design will set you back 3-4000$ given you are able to design it yourself (i have checked this )

For the second one, the super sexy BorgWarner EFR IWG and one of the many manifolds out there will make you smile from ear to ear
