Best place to attach engine hoist?

WA Best place to attach engine hoist?

'84 GSLSE. Where are the optimal points to attach engine hoist to engine for engine with transmission removal??

The are two factory lifting points on the engine. There is a lug on the front iron, driver side which should have a hook attached from the factory. Then another on the rear iron, passenger side where the long fine threaded bolt attaches to the transmission. There should be a hook from the factory.

If the engine is mostly disassembled, you can just put a bolt through the rear lug and then lift using a water pump stud (keep the hook close to the block).

From the factory they do. If the engine has be removed at any point in the past they could have been removed.
