Battery relocation

So what is the best location in the second gen FC to relocate the battery? Also I have seen several people on here have what looks like a fuse switch next to their batteries, what brand is everyone using?

Most people relocate the battery to one of the storage bins.

If you don't want it to be seen then you can go to the Passenger bin.It distributes weight off the front Driver's side where the old battery and 20 pounds of windshield wiper fluid stay..lol!
I use an Optima Yellow top.You can get battery holders specific for that battery on Ebay.
You can find a lot of info on Relocation in the Sec Gen Specific section.

Passenger side storage bin is where my 50lb DeKa Intimidator 9A48 lives, routed through a 150A circuit breaker.

Fabbed the box myself, using Aaron Cake's setup as a model, but adjusted to fit the larger battery and bolt into existing holes. It's a good project to teach yourself how to weld. Mine needed no trimming of the lid or 'flange' and is completely reversible with no fuss.

If I need to use a stock size battery, a spacer made out of 2" square tube can be put in the box to take up the extra space.

My 6x9 speakers sit in my bin lids and woulkdn't allow me to Put my battery in unless I "came up with somethin'."
I made a frame of 2 inch and covered the whole top bin frame with 1/2 inch plywood, cut the holes for the bins and slipped them back in.
It clears now.

Here is a Teaser pic.,..I have a build thread going and toss up the odd pic every now and again.
