Question Battery Charging

Hey all!

Been looking around for this matter for quite some time now but can't seem to find an answer.
My FD doesn't seem to recharge its battery by itself, to circumvent this, the previous owner pulled a wire from the alternator directly to the fuse block where the battery is attached to.
This cable is quite unsightly and to be honest, i want it to charge the way Mazda intended it.

So my question is, where would I have to look? How does the battery of the FD usually get recharged?

Regards,
Cake

From the factory there is a larger wire that goes from the alternator to the fuse block that is attached to the positive terminal. It is part of the harness that also goes to the starter and other accessories.

Thanks for the comment! I think I managed to figure it out, cant test it until the new engine is in unfortunately.

Can I also ask other questions here or do i have to start a new thread for that?

You can ask as many questions as you want however you want. It's all up to you but to keep information organized, it's best to keep questions relevant to the thread title. No one would expect to find the answer to an exhaust question in a thread labeled battery charging, you know what I mean.
