ball park $$ estimate

Whats the approximate price of all the ancillaries (clutch flywheel, alternator FI system, manifolds etc.) to make a running motor if you purchase a bare motor? i.e. to transplant to a non rotary car.
thanks
Doug

Get some more posts, then go through the for parts for sale section of the intended engine. Used stock/stock replacement parts are a great way to go, but you may have performance/packaging requirements that require custom work. Also your timeframe matters too. You could probably buy a parts car for 300, take what you need, and scrap the rest.

don't need more posts to view the current threads, just to post a thread.

greatly depends on which series of motor. if it's a REW then obviously it's going to cost more, if it's a TII then a little less, if it's an n/a series 4 pretty much free for most things.

costs for buikdout

The objective is to estimate the cost of building a injected non turbo motor, there is what looks like a good bridgeported rebuilt 'short block' on ebay, just wanted to know what the other side of the equation might look llike, using performance parts where logical
thanks

bridgeport engines can go south in a hurry if built by some who thinks porting is "easy".
