Axle and subrame swaps worth it?

How rare are the parts for an 84-85 GSL-SE and a 86-89 RX7s? Rather, how expensive, (lets say from a salvage yard on average.)

I'm looking into the Rally RX7 in the classifieds, but I think I'd want to swap the rear end out with one that doesn't have a welded diff and has a common bolt pattern (from an 84-85 GSL-SE), and the front out for the 2nd Gen front subframe/steering rack/control arms/hub assy/brakes because they're much more sturdy for rally. Oh, and I'll pick up a 4.77:1 FD from a Kia Sportage.

Are these parts pricey or relatively easy to obtain?

As a side question, anybody know of anybody in Utah that does relatively inexpensive rotary rebuilds?

Thanks a lot fellas!

Ben

I'm going to be doing this wards-back

http://www.atkinsrotary.com/

Thats the closest shop I could find for you. I don't know them personally but looking at it, they don't look that bad.

as for the parts you want:

http://www.blackdragonauto.com

http://www.autohausaz.com

http://www.atlantarx7.com

this last link here has .pdf files of catalogs so you need Adobe to view:

http://www.re4life.com

hope that helped some...sorry I can't really answer the rest. GL
