Hi, I am new to the site and have some questions some members might be able to answer...oh I love the site and am learning a lot of stuff....ok my question is? I bought a 90 GTU with an automatic. The car is in great shape and everything works...it idles well,A/C works the heater works and it drives well....BUT I read on here from Rotaryresurection that the auto trans are horrible...it has the hold button on it so it might be ok? I just dont want to have a POS RX7...it only has 97,000 miles and the dash is nice . I want to swap out the transmission for a 5 speed but not until i am able to save some $....i need to do some testing because it shifts high and looks for gears. I read that is normal...i thought it had a problem with the transmission. Should i keep it ?will it last a year? thanks
