Any ideas what these ECU modification stickers mean?

I bought the car with a supposedly modified ecu - maybe in 2005?

Recent problems required replacing the OMP AND the ECU. The car is running fine now, but with the stock ECU it's not quite the same.

I opened up my old ecu to try to find the soldered in modified chip or anything that I could maybe re-use or would tell me what had been done. There is NOTHING visible to the eye.

There ARE 2 stickers that are not stock and seem to indicate dates and changes made.

I've attached a pic of the ecu - if anyone has any ideas how to decipher them or tell me what chip it could be that would be awesome.

Not familiar with the stickers. Looks like the ECU was (orginally) for a California 5 spd car. But I see 'AT' on the stickers behind FD3S. Do you have a 5 spd or an auto?

16 posts in almost 11 years.....damn you're chatty.

Yeah, I thought the AT tag was interesting as well considering it's a 5 speed.

HAHA, I know right? What can I say, the car generally runs great and I have a really awesome mechanic Cant believe it's been 10 years!

Not certain on the rules, but if you have enough posts, you might try a thread in the WEST COAST regional section and see if anyone there recognizes the stickers.

It looks like the N3A3 ECU is from a 93/94 California car

92-93 5 speed ecu's are
n3a3 cali
n3a1 non cali

94 5 speeds
n3a3 cal
n3c1 non cal
