Another A/C Question

Anyone every used or heard of "Enviro-Safe"

http://www.es-refrigerants.com/produ...-kit&Trying=ON

I found this on Ebay and is suppose to be enviromentilly safe and a go into R12 or R134 system

I ordered some and it seemed to work well until my compressor started leaking, so I'm still in the process of fixing that, just did not know if anyone heard of this product and used it.

I've heard of it but when I read the can it said to charge the system at no pressure. I was unsure how to purge the system to properly prepare it but then to be able to put the refrigerant in with the system at no pressure, if you loose the vacuum the you introduce air and thus moisture into the system which is what you are trying to avoid. Maybe people just put it in under vacuum anyway. I think I am going back with 134a.

I have been dealing with AC issues recently. I have seen this product mentioned so you might want to do some searches. I know there are some people here who have used it.

Thanks for your replies. I ended up using it and seems to work well. I ordered it before seeing "Freeze-12" on his forum. Although today I noticed thet the compressor frequently cycles while driving. I hear a relay click under the dash. looking at the wiring diagram, I see there is a frost freeze switch in the circuit. So now I'm wondring if it is getting too cold and triggering this. I have post in the other section as well.

If the evap is frosting up and shutting the system off, there could be dirt or moisture in the system at the evap causing this.

There are people here that have raved about Freeze 12 but I think you need the permit to buy and I can't find anyone in my area that sells it.

I wouldn't be surpprised at either dirt or moisture. I'm a rookie with A/C and replaced the compressor line and ended up using a used condenser and dryer. I will say its VERY cold comming out of the vents. Might be time to bring it to a professional.

New dryer is generally used when a system is opened for any length of time or has not been working for a while. Have you priced a new one. I got a new one for my FD for $18 from Autozone. You could recharge the system and pull a good deep vacuum on it for a long time to make sure all moisture is out. I have heard that Autozone has loner vacuum pumps.

You might find in a search if anyone has refilled with Envirosafe a system that is under vacuum.
