aluminum parts

i have an 87 NA. i'm looking to make my car as light as possible and want to know what i can do to make it lighter. Does anybody know what aluminum parts are interchangeable from the s5's or turbos? I've already got the aluminum hood from an 88 and am about to get the aluminum hinges to go with it. are the 4 lug wheel hubs steel and the 5 lug's aluminum?

Aluminum parts isn't an S5 thing or a TII thing. The aluminum hoods were used somewhat randomly, and that's the only part I can think of that was made of both steel & aluminum. All hubs are made of steel.

The knuckle is cast aluminum: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...&highlight=hub

But the hub itself should be machined steel. A soft metal like aluminum isn't a good fit for something like a hub, which has steel studs pressed into it.

then i guess the only thing i can do is get aluminum lug nuts. although i'm a little concerned about having aluminum against steel, but other people have said it's fine.
