does anybody know if the fc's ever came with aluminum hood hinges? I recently bought a pair of aluminum hood hinges on ebay, and just got them in the mail today. But when i checked by sticking a magnet to it, it turns out the hinges are steel. Did the seller just make an honest shipping mistake or is he making a fraudulent advertisement? I've emailed the seller and am going to notify ebay. The ebay seller's name is therx7addict. Has anybody else dealt with him?

 

I'm fairly sure that all 2nd gens have steel hinges. At least, my early '86 with an aluminum hood has steel hinges.

 

The hinges on my S5 Turbo car, that came standard with an aluminum hood, are steel. Perhaps the seller meant to say ..hinges for the aluminum hood or aluminum-hood hinges, not aluminum hood hinges. If you get my drift. Love the English language.

 

Every FC I've had (20 or more) had steel hood hinges.
