NJ air pump

so i just bought a 90 fc gtu and the air pump has no belt on it and the hose that comes off is missing. it sounds like where it goes into the exhast is leaking i read that the s5 needs the to open the secondary ports. is this tru and if so how do i fix this can i just put a special kind of hose on there?

An S5 NA needs the air pump or the 6PI & VDI systems will not work. Long story short: - 40HP. Get a belt for it, and connect it to the ACV. I'm going to guess the "special hose" is the short piece between the pump and the ACV. It just needs to be large enough in diameter to fit.

Yes, Air Control Valve. Directly behind the air pump on the lower intake manifold (LIM). Take a look through the Factory Service Manual (FSM), which is free to download. Links are in the section FAQ, or just google it.

There's just a short metal tube pressed into the casting, and a hose goes on the end. If the small piece of metal tube is missing, you'll need to get something to replace it.
