Air Fuel Ratio

on my 89 turbo my Wideband display shows my Air/Fuel mix to be 11-12. I was wondering how i could get it to not run so rich? Is there an adjustment? And if so where?
Thank you

When does it show these ratios? Under wide open throttle, these ratios are valid. Under cruise or idle, they are not.

Oh it shows them all the time. It just smells like it burns really rich and the exhaust is just covered in black soot any ideas?
Thanks so much

If it does it when cruising, your 02 sensor is missing/not hooked up/bad. At idle, 12-13 AFR is ideal when warm, but an S5 won't have anyway to adjust this anyway.

What is concidered cruising range? My car gets 15 a/f until I get past 75 mph then it starts richening up until its around 13 . ( this is light throttle ) no boost .

I'm just wondering if at 80 mph the car requires more fuel to be safe . or if the map is just being cautious ..

Cruising range is light throttle (up to about 20%) under light load. If you are harder on the throttle, richer ratios are required.

is the FPR seeing vacuum out of boost? and some fuel pumps will cause rich conditions also.
