AEM water injection problem-2 blinks
Hi. This forum by far has more info and threads about water injection than any I've come across. It's pretty hard to find info about water injection elsewhere, since not many people run it, afaik.
Anyway my AEM system has probably under 10 hours on it. For the last couple of weeks I randomly get the 2 blink code "pump driver open". Usually I get it after the car has been out of boost for a while, just cruising around town. Today however I got it immediately after being in boost, accelerating onto the interstate. Everything seemed ok when I was in boost, I had a solid light. As soon as I let up on the gas and started to cruise at 65 mph, I got the 2 blinks. If I go into boost after the 2 blinks are going, the light doesn't turn solid, so I assume I'm no longer getting any water. Usually the light stays off for a while after I shut off and restart the car, but it almost always comes back on within the next 10 minutes or so.
I've checked all the wiring and everything seems ok. I called AEM's techline, emailed, and posted on AEM's forum, and they haven't been very helpful.
Can someone direct me to a trouble shooting flow chart, or give me simple step by step instructions about how to trouble shoot this?
I'm getting kind of desperate, because I have a track day on October 23 and I bought the injection purely to prevent detonation when tracking the car. If I can't get it working I'll have to skip the track day. Thanks for any and all help.
