add coolent buzzer !!!

My add coolent buzzer will not stop buzzing and it has nothing to do with my coolent, my coolent level is fine. So where is my add coolent buzzer located so I can take it out and smash it with a hammer!

It may just be bubbles around the sensor at the top of the rad. Bleed the system to make sure that isn't the issue.

If that doesn't do it, then disconnect the wire to the sensor and temporarily ground it. If the buzzer stops, you have a bad sensor which should be replaced.

If the buzzer doesn't stop, there is something wrong with the wire in the harness. It needs to see ground, so it is possible the wire is broken. That being the case, run a new one.

DO NOT disable the buzzer. That is the warning buzzer for low coolant, low oil and redline. It's loud and annoying for a reason: if it ever sounds and you aren't at 8000 RPM, PULL OVER IMMEDIATELY and fix the issue. Or if it has been disabled, there is no warning as you keep driving while the broken oil cooler line has dumped all your oil onto the road...until the engine locks solid.

Why don't you just fix the sensor? Do the simple tests I have provided to determine the problem. It may be something very simple like bubbles around the sensor. Maybe the sensor is even just dirty. Worst case you need a new one and it's $20.

If your car is heating up due to low coolant, you are already risking engine damage.

Take the time to fix the problem now, or replace the engine later.

Yep, that may be all it is. Bubbles often hang out at the sensor.
