Acceleration problem

Hey guys. I posted up a thread awhile back about an exhaust leak I had and i replaced my exhaust system ( headers downpipe exhaust tip, yes its straight pipe ). I had a problem before this that when I would press down on the gas pedal hard, it would " fart ". I changed the exhaust system and i still have the same problem, everytime I press on my gas pedal kinda hard, it'll accelerate then make a fart noise and the car would stall once I would let go. Can anyone give me any possible ideas what it could be ? Also, I have a misfire as well, I have a feeling that might be a contributing factor but I wanna know all my options & any opinions on how to fix this misfire.

It would help to know which year RX-7 you're talking about.
