acceleration problem

i have a 86 non turbo .....when i accellerate fast the car will sputter and hesitate at the 3 4 and 5 rpms and the gauge goes crazy and shuts down to zero and wont cut back on up to the 1 rpm when i shut the car off and turn back on. but the car will still run good when i accelerate slow. What is the cause of the hesitating and the sputtering ??

my latest installments is a new non turbo driveshaft and a new non turbo racing beat system

check your TPS connections make sure there is no corrosion, also make sure your 5th and 6th port actuators are working, doesn't sound like them but never know, i had a wierd accel problem once long ago and the TPS connectors were dirty, just scrape at them with a screw driver to clean them check all the connections in that area make sure they are all good, hell can't hurt to clean them all in the engine bay either...
