? About spare tire well

Im fixin to cut the spare tire well out for an aftermarket fuel tank should i be concerned about compromising structural integrity in any way?

i wouldn't have thought so as many cars do it to fit ally fuel tanks for race. I've seen some with no reinforcement, others with X beams welded in. I guess it's down to the amount of power your looking to run.

To cut or not to cut...

Thanks...have read quite a few posts about tanks being updated to run e 85 in tank pumps with surge tanks etc. Love the homegrown enginuity on here pretty inspiring! Since my sa has the original tank and in decent condition i could refit it but the larger non se tank(cupless) is appealing sounds like longer strap bolts and the newer tank should fit without cutting out the full spare well.
