KY About to buy an 83 12a

A friend of mine is putting a 350 tuned port in his 83 rx7, and I found a deal on the same year though it does not "run". Seems it lost compression in the rear rotor all of the sudden, and the guy is selling it cheap. Has a racing beat header with no cat exhaust. He's throwing in an LSD rear end too!

Plans are to try and get it going... What do you guys think? Try to put seafoam in it? I hear ATF is bad, but it may be my last resort. Last resort really is to put a SBC v8 in it... Either way I'm really looking forward to driving it!

Low compression = blown engine. Unless you're prepared to spend a few thousand on a rebuild, it's probably not going to be a good buy.

Yeah better off waiting or using the car for parts. Find one with a good engine
