Question About to aquire a JDM 12a Turbo engine, learn me stuff!

I'm about to buy a JDM 12a Turbo engine to eventually swap into a 84 FB I'm also about to buy, I've done some research about the engine on this forum and have found some info but it's far and few between, especially as far as swapping one into a USDM FB goes. I'm a mechanic by trade and so I am capable of pulling this off but here are a couple of my questions:
-What type of hp/tq numbers can I expect to get out of a tastefully modified 12a Turbo engine meant for weekend driving and SCCA racing
-What has a better work:power ratio 12a Turbo swap or 13b Turbo swap
Where are my 12a gurus at?
Thanks in advance!

Go the 13B turbo route. An S4 is the easiest but will require a few modes like front cover (12A or 13B pre 1986) and pre 1986 13B oil pan. Lots of info on the swap.

Finding parts for a JDM 12AT are almost impossible to find unless you have a connection in Japan. The JDM 12AT computer is not tunable..

I figured a 13B would be the best route at the end of the day, the 12a Turbo was just a cool thought especially because one is dangling infront of my face. I knew the computer on that thing would be an issue but was hoping for the best.
I know a little bit about the swap, I’ll definitely start reading up on it though.
Thanks a lot!

I recently bought a 80 SA with modified 12at. trying to learn more about it, so far spoke to the builder and it has a street port and modified with intercooler oil mods to flow better and running on Microtech ecu. This is my first Turbo rotary previous owner had it on dyno and put out 180 to wheels without being tuned on obout 6lbs of boost. may be changing the ecu and get it tuned again and get it back on a dyo. This pic is before modified for the intercooler. Will have to add pics from my phone as I don't have any more on my work computer right now. It has been sitting for about 5 years but she does start and run just need to get brakes done so I can get her on the road and tuned somewhat better.
