Hello, I bought a 1985 Mazda GS 12A (Stock) with 58K miles. I am new to this type of sport car. Question: The car hesitates particularly in 1st & 2nd gear. I do not have any history on this car. Where should I start? Fuel pump? Spark plugs? Fuel filter (there is one near the gas tank). . .need advice. Thank you.

 

Check the accelerator pump on the carb. The diaphragm can get old and brittle. Get the factory server manual here: Foxed.ca
