Hi All,

Just wondering what the stock "effective?" length is for the wheel studs in the front and rear. My car came with aftermarket wheels and upon removal of the rear wheel, the studs seem rather small. They are exactly 1" long. I don't see why the previous owner would have them shortened.. but after seeing what he did to the rest of the car it wouldn't surprise me.

Seems like most guys replace the studs with longer ARP versions, but that section is heavy with track guys. I've personally never seen a need for longer ones on my car.

 

Thanks for the reply, I'll probably install longer studs anyways, just for good measure. However upon doing some searching this seems like quite the task (for the rear anyways)!

 

^Yep. From what I've read figure new bearings by the time you get the hub pressed free. Never had the pleasure...but understand they can be a crack *****'s nightmare to break loose.
