'94 FD Radiator?

Are the 1994 FD radiator's full aluminum from the factory? My 94 that I just bought has a full aluminum radiator and I was wondering if it's stock or not so I know whether or not to have it replaced.

Odd reply but I'm just wondering if it is leaking right now.

Well you are asking about replacing it,so I am wondering if it is broken.Personally I would leave it if it is OK..(for now, that would free up some coin).
Although I am not an FD Owner I know that the FC came with a Plastic upper and lower pieced rad.
An Aluminum rad was a good investment as the plastic eventually breaks down.
Also, If you bring it to my "buddy's body shop" they will use it for a Frame support and put a Floor jack through it while trying to inspect your car!!..haha..(actually happened..Crack..spew..ah Crap!)
Aluminum rad does sound like an Upgrade.
I am sure "The Sarge" (Sgt Blue) would be able to tell you more.
Are you planning on Upgrading/Modifying the engine?..or????

The car has BNR twins on it now. I just bought it and read the rebuild receipt and thats how I found out. It doesn't have anu issues right now but from all the research I've done everyone says to upgrade the radiator to aluminum. Like Koyo or fluidyne, my radiator is not branded from what I can see of it mounted on the car with the AC condenser in the way.
I was told the car is all stock to the previous (however not original owners) knowledge but after finding out there's upgraded turboes I'm thinking the original owner could've upgraded the radiator too. So just wanted to know if 1994 models came with metal radiators from the factory. If it is sufficient or is aftermarket it will definietely save me a good amount of money so fingers crossed.

Very true, haha I definietely want to go single turbo later. FDs are so problematic lol. Yeah at least I got some post count gain, it's too bad classifieds don't add post count or else I'd have quite a bit more.

At one time Mazda Competition parts (Mazdacomp) made an aluminum radiator upgrade. Also, a company called AWR used to make a stock looking upgrade in the late '90s and early '00s. It's more than likely one of those...

Enjoy your new car.

Only problem with your last statement is that you have to get posts to GET to the Classifieds,as it's a Car forum First..and It's Members get to use it.
We are kind of picky that way.Why should "just anyone" get the Good stuff..right?.

If it"s all metal it"s not OEM and no need to replace. The OEM radiator was actually pretty efficient. If not for the plastic end tanks habit of failing...sometimes catateophically, from heat and age they did well.
