93 FC thats been in strorage

I am looking at a 1993 TT RX7 that has been in storage for a couple of years. Obviously it is not good to let any car just sit. But I was wondering if there was anything about a rotor motor that made it any worse or better. The car I am looking at probably had not been started in a couple of years until I went to look at it. It did how ever start up and run very good for me. Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

As it had not been started in several years and you just went ahead and started it, damage has likely been done.

This article deals specifically with 2nd gens but much of the advice is valid for any rotary:

On another note, a 93 is called an "FD", not an "FC" as the thread title says.

Perform a compression test.
