93 Efini twin turbo wire harness
Proud owner of a gently broken in rx7, first task to get this rx7 running is a wire harness. has anyone here gone through the process of replacing or redoing their wire harness. We dropped a JDM motor and tranny in to this vehicle now we need to hook it up and get it started. let the fun begin. any advice with the block out system and EMS what do you suggest?
Thank you,
Thank you,

Not my picture, but this is the break-down of the North American (LHD) harness. It'll be alittle different than the RHD but may help.
And yes, re-wrapping the harness during a rebuild is pretty common. I recommend removing as much of the crispy plastic OEM cover as you can. Get a copy of the Factory Service Manual and wiring diagram (available in the 3rd Gen. Stickys) and use a multi-meter to check continuity from the various plugs back the ECU connector. Once you're satisfied there's continuity, re-wrap. I like the silicone self-fusing tape available in most hardware stores in the electrical sections. It's a little pricey but stands up to the high underhood temps. Cover it in friction tape and/or loom cover to suit. The whole job isn't hard...just tedious but well worth it. New Injector pig-tails with connectors are available if yours are really bad.
Just be systematic and label stuff if you need to.
Good time to check solenoids and replace hardened OEM rubber vacuum lines with silicone too.
