91 rx7 idling when warm dies

91 rx7 idling when warm dies

i have a 91 rx7, you can start it and it will run but as soon as it gets warm the car dies and will not start untill the engine is cooled, any ideas?

did you check the fuel pump

or your injectors

or your fuel filter

but would that cause it to die when it gets warm?

It is likely a large vacuum leak.

well im pretty sure its the ignition, but im going to check everything and i might just pull the engine and put new everything and clean up old stuff

The same thing happened to my FD once. It could either be carbon build up making your Apex seals stick when hot or bad apex seal springs. Mine was the worse of the two and ended up tearing it down and replacing the apex seal springs, problem solved

Try steaming the motor first. You never know, and its harmless. I can explain how if you've never done it.
