88 s4 flooding problem
It always gets flooded when I start it. I turned the fuel pump off but it is still difficult to start even after I do some things I have been told to do on this site. Please help.

Cutting the power to the fuel pump with a switch will only be effective if you turn off the fuel pump before the ignition & allow the engine to use up the available pressurized fuel in system.
Take the intake manifolds off & get the injectors cleaned or replaced if you are confident that your compression is ok, which it probably isn't... Which will only put off the in-evitable rebuild that is required for an aging S4 with rubber corner seal-plug thingies.
I've been there & done all that with chronic flooding before... You have the creeping rebuild disease very common to S4's... You'll probably also find all the vacuum lines will be needing replaced.
Sooner or later you'll loose a seal & need a rebuild any way, but with more parts to replace due to damage...
I wish it was just a simple fix, but I doubt it.
