I have an 88 convertible with the radio not working. It worked once and now does not power up. I checked the car wiring and all seemed fine. I removed the radio and have taken it to a stereo shop but they are having a real hard time locating the manuals for it. They know there is a problem with the radio on the bench but cannot find the schmatics for it. Does anyone have experience with these radios that could advise what the problem is or know where I can get an internal diagram?

I doubt anyone would have the schematics for that particular radio. They are so old and really the sound quality isn't the best.

I know this is probably not the answer you are looking for, but if you need one time is better spent looking in the classifieds section in the forums here for someone parting out their S4 convertible and buying a radio from them. Otherwise a new unit would be better.
