Yeah, um, I don't mean to be rude but how do you expect to put in a 350 V8 (and WHY choose such an antiquated engine?) if you can't manage to get the old rotary out?

First and foremost, you will find links to the factory service manuals in the 2nd gen FAQ. They contain complete engine removal procedures. It may be more handy to use the Haynes manual, which is available at any auto parts store. I find the Haynes to be much more of a handy reference then the FSM.

Books don't know everything, but they do list the engine removal and reinstallation procedure step by step. Removing an engine is not a creative process, so following step by step instructions on how to do it is totally a reasonable thing to suggest. Without the books, having no mechanical experience, you will be totally lost so I suggest that you pick them up as a first step.

I can safely say without the Haynes book I would have been lost when I swapped my engine. I also would have probably broke a lot more things then I did.

The swap you want to do is... a huge undertaking. Aaron Cake is totally right about taking it step by step. But why not just swap with another 13b so you can learn before you invest a ton of money and time.
