CA 87 wheel bearing replacement

ok. i havent changed a wheel bearing in a fc. so i am wondering what parts exactly i will need.. i checked online and there are inner and outer bearings.. and an oil seal... so will i need both an inner and an outer. and an oil seal or what??

i tryed searching the threads in the 2nd gen section.. but couldnt find anything..

call me a noob if you must. but i just want what is exactly needed. and with some elbow grease and some help to get everything pressed out and the new back in..

i need to replace both fronts. due to a clicking when going. not just only turning but going straight. so yeah.

thanx in advance

u suggested REPLACEMENT, not repack.

replacement should include new races, OR full hub assemblies.

damaged bearings will included damaged matching surfaces on the races typically.

otoh IF you haven't removed and LOOKED yet, how can u know they needed 2b replaced?

for packing all that's needed is the rear seals, grease, cotter pins, cleaner and tools.

cheers

well. im having clicking from both front wheels. and when i pull on the tires. they have a little play and click.. so i will just replace everything... and if i can find a decent deal on new hubs then ill just do that. or if i can get 5 lug hubs for all around that are good.

ok.. well im not really sure if it is the wheel bearings now.. i dunno. lol i took one of the wheels off to check my brakes. and i pulled and pushed on the hub to try to feel for any play.. but nothing.. it was weird.. but when im driving it the sound is seemingly only there when im like going through parking lots. at like 15mph. and they click when i tap the brakes. everytime..... so if someone could give me some better info on this. i could look further into it...

ok well i took off one of the hubs. and it doesnt look bad at all.. but when i took off the hub bolt it wansnt torqued down almost at all.. no effort to take it off.. so im guessing that might just be the problem. but im wondering how tight should i tighten the hub nut down?? i cant find the spec on it. and i dont have a hanes manual right now..
