Unhappy 87 turboII alarm problems

I've had an 87 Turbo II for ten years now and just the other day unlocked the car by reaching through the window. The alarm went off (horn honking) which i did'nt even know it worked. Now the car won't start!! No power to the fuel pump or the starter. Is this caused by the stock alarm and if so how do i disarm it. I have tried the obvious key in the door and turn in both directions. Is there maybe a special sequence. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

have you disconnected your battery. on my 86 it goes off because they didint hook up the door lock connections. all i ever did after that was removed the one fuse and the top thats sticks out just a little bit farther than the others. i dont no about no switch or anything.

ill check that fuse but none of them are poped or anything but ill pull it and see if things change. rite now i used the key and the orange light stayes lit when i unlock it while the key is in butwhen i move it to pull the key out it starts blinking again. iv tried both doors and the hatch but none as of yet disarmed this alarm

I have a similar problem. my alarm will just randomly go off now. i only started a few months ago. it started when i changed my interior. so the switch theory sounds good ill have to look into it. now i have to disconnect my batt everytime i park it. pretty lame.

ZenkiFCdrifto, did you ever figure out your alarm issue? mine does the same thing all of the time and it is super annoying. I was standing next to it at the gas station and it went off twice while I was filling it up. As long as I lock both doors it doesn't go off but if the passenger door is locked and the driver is unlocked it goes off without anything touching it.
