You should feel a definite difference between those settings.

How many miles on the car? Honestly, but this time, it's probably just worn out. Shocks don't last forever.

Mazda replacements are...expensive. Going aftermarket with a modern strut and spring combination will be a much better solution.

The car only has 70xxx miles shocks dont seem the be worn out. The car had been just sitting for 2 years and it sat for another 6 months.

The most noteable difference i felt when i put it on race settings was the suspenion seemed to stiffen up just a little. Im not sure if thats all it does like soften and harden the suspension.

Thats what i will be doing eventually. Any suggestion on what type of suspenion setting and setup i should do? The car is being built for time attack purpose on the beginner level. I want to setup the suspension first before i do any other mods.

Again thanks for all your input and help

It's working if the suspension stiffened up when you put it in the race setting. That's basically what the A.A.S does. Get a nice set of coilovers like Tein but they are pretty expensive but worth the money.

Yea thats all it did so i guess then its working lol. I was looking into tein but the only ones i found were tein super street for my year/model. I had those on my 95 240 and they were excellent for drifting. Im not sure if its suitable for time attacks and my car.

Yeah it probably is working. In my old GXL it worked too... on 3 out the 4 struts lol. I'm pretty sure there a few model Tein struts that fit on the FC, maybe one of the other models would be suitable for time attacks.
